Fourton & Associates, PLLC origin dates back in the 1990s when Leslie E. Fourton started his own practice in the heart of downtown New York City. A couple of years later, Les joined forces to grow the firm into the full-service firm that it is today. Our clients know and rely on our talent, standard of excellence, relentlessness, creativity, and track record of success in a wide variety of practice areas and industries, for both plaintiffs and defendants. We have successfully defended and brought actions on behalf of our clients in some of their most high-stakes litigation.
We were responsible for the prevention of the State of New York’s on-going enforcement of a mandate forcing medical professionals at New York Presbyterian Hospital to take the swine-flu vaccine against their will under a direct threat of being terminated.
Commercial Litigation
We helped obtain, on behalf of our client’s client, a settlement totaling approximately $225 million – the largest settlement to date at the time regarding an options backdating matter in the history of securities litigation. The settlement came in In Re Comverse Technology, Inc.’s class action derivative litigation against the aforementioned party, in which various banks alleged violations of securities laws.
We have defended our clients – such as Gary Null and Gary Null & Associates, Inc. – regarding complex commercial litigation cases and corporate governance investigations along with related product liability manufacturing defect matters.
We have litigated many complex commercial litigation issues involving conspiracies, fraud, securities litigation, securitization, product liability, manufacturing defects and foreclosure defense matters.
We have litigated numerous family and matrimonial law matters regarding Divorce, Child Custody and Visitation, Child Support, Spousal Maintenance (Alimony), Equitable Distribution, Orders of Protection (Family Offense petition) and Abuse and Neglect cases that were in disputes along with many other types of complex litigations.
We recently have successfully litigated many complex highly technical and scientific litigations regarding Breach of Contract, Copyright and Software Patent infringement matters involving Java APIs, algorithms, interfaces, connection points and non-disclosure agreements.
